Ms. Carroll
Patrick Clements

I have been going to a sandwich shop for over 2 years.  It's a Jersey Mike's located in Midtown Atlanta.  Occasionally, I get in a friendly debate with my brother on where to get a good sub...he says Subway and I say Jersey Mikes (yeah, I know this is great time for a sub snob to scoff).  The truth of the matter is there is really no difference in the shops or the sandwich itself.  These are irrelevant to me.  I could care either way.  I choose Jersey Mike's because of Ms. Carroll.  She knows me by name, she knows to ask me if I want my regular (#7  - Turkey on wheat with white American, Mike's way) or if I want to get the  'I earned it' sub (#13 - Italian on wheat, Mike's way with a little mayo).  She asks me about my family and how they are doing, she asks me who I am dating and if I have plans for the weekend.  She calls me her baby when I introduce her to new people.  She smiles and waves at me when I come into the door.  This is why I choose to go to this sub shop over any other shop in the area.

I hope that I can one day give my customers the same honest and genuine treatment that she affords me every time I see her.
